@khz – Just because there are worse things going on in the world doesn’t give us the right to be ignorant or negligent in the ‘lesser’ areas. My comment was addressed to someone who claims to be a Christian, so really, your comment was completely out of place. My stance against profanity gives you absolutely no right to lash out, much less a reason to ‘make you sick.’ I get that there are things in the world that are worse than others, but wrong is wrong.

I understand the use of certain language at certain times, but at the risk of sounding judgmental, from one Christian to another, how could you be okay with THAT MUCH language? Don’t get me wrong, I think there are some definitely valuable things to take from these quotes, but I think the vulgarity can certainly outweigh the positive aspects.

Excellent post. I too love Fight Club and have watched it a few times now. Tyler has some wise things to say – “the things you own end up owning you” always sticks with me.

Thanks Pat. When I watched Fight Club the first time, I had no idea of the message that wasn’t really being sent. Years later when I watch it, I see an entirely different, even more profound movie. In fact, I think I may watch it again this weekend
