Do you find yourself complaining day after day? Perhaps the day to day annoyances of life are getting to you, and your natural response is to complain about it. Now I’m not going to tell you there’s anything unnatural about that – it’s the route most people choose. However, I am going to say that it’s time to stop.
Instead of complaining, do something about the problem.
That’s right – don’t keep complaining about your problems. All that happens is that you still have problems, but now you’re dragging down everyone around you with your complaining. That helps exactly no one at all. You still have the stress, and you’re multiplying it. You’re better than that, and there’s a much better solution.
If it’s your job that constantly gets you down, don’t complain about it. Quit. Find a new job that doesn’t have the same problems. Spouse the cause of your complaining? Get counseling. Lack of time your biggest issue? Invent a time machine. (Sorry I couldn’t help it. Seriously though, you can cut things out of your life to make more time.)
No matter what your issue is, there’s likely something you can do about it that’s more constructive than complaining. So, stop complaining. Do something instead.
