For some, simplicity means living in a cave, eating the plants that grow outside the cave. No mortgage, job, electricity, cars, or anything of the sort. Just hanging out in a cave enjoying the world. Or at least the cave part of it.
To others, simplicity means living in the real world, but without many modern day trappings, like TV, fancy furniture, or Netflix.
Still others think of simplicity as having the freedom to travel the world, not staying put for any longer than they desire.
Ask ten random people to define simplicity, and you’ll receive ten quite different answers. The fact is, everyone defines simplicity in a different way, and that’s just fine. Simplicity isn’t a tangible thing – it’s a rough concept. For me, simplicity is reducing the time spent on things that don’t matter, so I can increase the time I spend on things that do matter.
